We are shocked and heartbroken by the horrific deaths of Jake & Callum Robinson and Jack Carter Rhoad while on a surf trip south of Ensenada. Our deepest sympathies are with their families and friends during this unimaginable time.
This senseless tragedy was an isolated incident perpetrated by low-level criminals and goes against everything we know and love about Baja California and its people. The Baja community is known for its kindness, hospitality, and willingness to lend a hand, whether it's fixing a flat tire, offering gas, or simply pointing you in the right direction.
As teenagers growing up in San Diego, Baja Bound's founders, Hank and Geoff, spent countless hours exploring Baja's incredible surf spots in the 1980s. The warmth of the people and the uncrowded waves fueled countless adventures down the peninsula over the years, creating a lifetime of cherished memories. Baja has always held a special place in our hearts.
We fervently hope for swift justice for Jake, Callum, and Jack so their loved ones can begin to heal. We also hope for positive change to emerge from this senseless act of violence.
